Baldwin Commons

Baldwin Commons started out as a vacant 59 acre site, situated in two different communities, Orion Township and Auburn Hills, Michigan. As a result, this significantly complicated the entitlement process. The property was assembled through four different property owners, further complicating the process.

The site was not served with sewer and water and required a very creative strategy to bring utilities to the location.

Prior to project completion, the project was 100% leased to tenants, totaling 376,136 square feet. The project was recently reinvented as a result of the economic downturn and corresponding tenant vacancies of the major retailers.

Tenants at the retail plaza include Kohl’s, Michaels, HomeGoods, Longhorn Steakhouse, Kirkland’s, Ulta Cosmetics, DSW, Nordstrom Rack, Panera Bread, Bath & Body Works, Dollar Tree, Five Below, Lane Bryant, Men’s Wearhouse, Old Navy, Party City, Petco, and Tilly’s.
