KIRCO MANIX began preconstruction planning and budgeting for the Divine Child Alumni Athletic Complex in late 2014, assisting Divine Child in making preparations to bring the master planned vision for the community to life.
Divine Child’s campus previously held a grass field originally built in 1958. Due to the wear and tear of numerous teams using the field, Divine Child has had to hold home games at a nearby public school for many years.
KIRCO MANIX created a master schedule that would allow construction to commence on the new athletic complex while costs were coordinated with ongoing parish fundraising that was underway at the time. The original scope of work was limited to the funds Divine Child had on hand as of the first quarter of 2016. Design was completed in the second quarter of 2016, and construction began on the new athletic complex in mid-April of 2016.
The original project scope included a new athletic field with synthetic turf, a new running track, bleachers, a gateway entrance structure and limited gathering space.
The combination of KIRCO MANIX’s value engineering with additional parish fundraising allowed the project to afford additional scope, expanding the work to include complete field lighting, a completed plaza gathering area, and a press box which fulfilled the full vision for the master planned project.
