KIRCO MANIX

KIRCO MANIX completed a new 25,600-square-foot Vehicle Test Center for FEV North America, expanding its Auburn Hills campus to three buildings. The $27 million investment is expected to create approximately 250 new jobs, bringing total campus employment to 750.

The facility supports FEV’s goal of providing comprehensive powertrain and vehicle development services and includes a vehicle laboratory, state-of-the-art vehicle emissions dynamometer, office space, and advanced testing facilities.

DSM Engineering Plastics

KIRCO and KIRCO MANIX transformed 31,550 square feet of former Bally’s Total Fitness space into a Class A mixed-use facility for DSM Engineering Plastics. The state-of-the-art space incorporates sustainable design, flexible office and conference areas, and a research and development lab focused on automotive plastics innovation.

Notable features include a barrel-vaulted skylight, a dramatic glass-railed staircase, open collaborative workspaces, a European-style lobby and interior design, mezzanine collaboration areas, and covered parking with direct building access. The project was recognized with the Troy Chamber of Commerce’s Best of Troy Award.

Aramco Americas

Aramco selected KIRCO MANIX to transform an industrial building in Novi, Michigan, into a cutting-edge R&D facility focused on reducing carbon emissions. Through close collaboration and strategic value engineering, KIRCO MANIX delivered the $25 million project ahead of schedule while maintaining quality.

Since completion, KIRCO MANIX has managed multiple facility upgrades and expansions, including advanced testing spaces and technical system enhancements, while ensuring uninterrupted operations through proactive planning and coordination.

Volvo Vehicle Propulsion Lab

KIRCO MANIX was selected to construct Volvo Group’s $33 million Vehicle Propulsion Lab (VPL), a state-of-the-art expansion of its powertrain research and development campus. The facility will be the first of its kind in North America, providing comprehensive testing capabilities for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, Prevost, and Volvo Bus vehicles to meet evolving regulatory and performance requirements.

The two-story facility features environmental chambers with advanced chassis dynamometer and vehicle testing capabilities, allowing simulation of extreme weather, altitude, and operating conditions. Connected to the existing engine development lab, the project will also create approximately 10 new jobs.
