Brookmeadow at Blue Hills

Boston, MA

KIRCO recently acquired Brookmeadow at Blue Hills, a 91-unit assisted living and memory care community in the Boston, MA metropolitan area. The facility presented a compelling opportunity for KIRCO to acquire a community at approximately 45% below replacement cost; the community is also located in an underserved market featuring the highest senior housing occupancy and some of the strongest incomes in the country.

KIRCO invested $4 million in the revitalization of common spaces for the betterment of future residents, their families, and the community. Renovations were completed in March of 2024 making Brookmeadow at Blue Hills the most modern, family-friendly senior living community in the area, offering a superior overall value.

The community has been modernized with a comprehensive renovation of common areas throughout the entire building. The new design focuses on combining separate spaces of the floor plan to create better flow, increased social interaction and engagement. Renovations also included the addition of a brand new fitness room with modern equipment tailored to seniors, unit upgrades, and exterior improvements.

KIRCO selected a new, best-in-class operator, Everbrook Senior Living, who helped lead the transformation of the physical asset as well as the social programming and amenities offered to residents. While pleased to have inherited a very hard working, dedicated staff, Everbrook provides the resources to enhance the overall service experience residents receive while introducing new, unique programs.
