Siemens Automotive needed to select a real estate partner to assist them with a turn key headquarters facility. It required site acquisition, design, municipal approvals, development services and construction management services within a specified time period and budget objective. The goal was to leverage the facility in creating a prominent North American image and presence.
The 220,000 square foot building was designed to house their product development, research and testing labs, full chassis dyno cells, thermal chambers and office space. KIRCO was able to implement an mechanical and electrical design strategy to reduce the amount of Project Size “on grade,” which helped reduce the project cost.
The project outcome met every budget target and schedule target established for the project.
